5 Tips to consider when visiting a restaurant for the first time

I always like to go out and have my lunch or dinner with my family. It is always a good thing when you try a new restaurant and discover new dishes & places. Today i will list some mandatory tips that you need to consider if you are planning to visit a new restaurant

1) Ask about none smoking area:

If you are not a smoker then you most probably want to be in the safe side as well as your family especially if you have kids in your family. Today i did this mistake, i pick up a good place and i started to smell the smoke every where. i discovered later that there is no categorization for smoke / non smoke area at that place. My son have some breathing allergy and our lunch started to be like a nightmare. So the point hear make sure that you are in the none smoker area and if there is no specific place for non smoker just make sure to highlight it to the restaurant waiter or waitress. Please note that there are many regulations that strictly prohibit smoking in public areas and there may be a fine applied on the smoker as well as the facility.

2) Make sure about available payment options:

Don't assume that every where will accept any method for payment. It happened with me that some restaurants here in KSA don't have POS machine and that you need to pay in cash. also if you have any coupons or promotion you need to highlight it first before even you order to make sure it will be accepted even if you visit this place before and you know that they will accept that coupon. Things and rules may changes.

3) Ask if they have a kids play area

One of the most amazing things is to visit a restaurant with Kids play area. This is why Macdonald is a leading food company around the world. Also kids meals make it very cheering moments for the family as well as kids.

4) Indoors Vs. Outdoors:

Many restaurants have indoors place as well as outdoors place. Don't go to outdoors place when the weather is cloudy and there is a chance for a rainy day. while it will be good idea to site outdoors if the day is sunny and special afternoon hours.

5) Fill the survey card

If you find it then it is a good idea to fill it with your opinion about the place, food & service.
